Blue Mountains, Australia.

On my previous post on the learning centre for the refugee kids, I have to say that my part in it was just as a guest to the event, supporting the good work a good friend and her team have been doing.

But thank you for the words of encouragement , especially from Betsy, George and Lina. Hope I can contribute more one day.

Anyway, my travelling mode (and mood) made me go through some travelling photos to share ......  hehehe....

Have a great weekend everyone!

28th. April 2012

Early morning trip with stopovers at the Featherdale Wildlife Park (read here) and fruit picking session, and few hours later we reached our destination..the Blue Mountains, New South Wales.

Travelling down to have better view of the valley ......   "whooshed!!!"...  down the steep train and we had to hold on to the rail...hahaha.

"The Three Sisters are a rock formation in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. They are close to the town of Katoomba and are one of the Blue Mountains' best known sites, towering above the Jamison Valley. Their names are Meehni (922 m), Wimlah (918 m), and Gunnedoo (906 m)."
(wiki)

"The Sisters were formed by land erosion. The soft sandstone of the Blue Mountains is easily eroded over time by wind, rain and rivers, causing the cliffs surrounding the Jamison Valley to be slowly broken up."

Tried to upload the video of photos that I made using movie maker but got the "error"
messages every time...anyone knows why? ..I didn't have any problem before.

If not,   I'll try to share some other photos in future postings.

Knowledge Centre

I was glad that I had the chance to be at the launching of a new learning centre for the Rohingya refugee kids recently.

As the organiser said :

"Before we leap, we start by taking small steps.

Today, we took a small step of officially launching the Muslim Aid Knowledge Centre in Ampang.

We are now ready to educate and nurture young Rohingya refugees in the area.

The next step is to look into establishing similar centres nationwide."

Sharing some photos of the kids there.

Was so touched when the girl in purple scarf asked if she could called me "Ummi"(mother).

But I felt guilty too as I may not be able to go and see her or the other kids due to time constraints and distance.

However wishing her and all of them the best in life.

Canton Tower @ Guangzhou, China.

Short but hopefully nice entry this time.

Sharing some photos of Canton Tower taken during the night cruise at Pearl River in Guangzhou, China ~ on the trip with friends on the 28.05.2013.

Pearl River in Guangzhou flows through the heart of the city.

Also known as the Guangzhou TV & Sightseeing Tower.

Topping 600m height, the Canton Tower attracts visitors first by its enchanting exterior.

The Canton Tower is the world’s highest TV tower and a new landmark of Guangzhou.

Will share some other photos during the night cruise at a later date.

Have a great week everyone!
